Troubleshoot Learning Plans

Check the effective policy and current state before repeating a planning action. Repetition can create confusion even when history remains protected.

1. Confirm the active school.
2. Ask an administrator to open Settings → Learning Plans settings.
3. Confirm the feature is available and Enable Learning Plans is selected.
4. Verify the plan or learner belongs to the current school and permitted halqa.

Core sessions and recitations remain available while planning is off.

Check:

• the plan is Active;
• automation is not paused;
• the effective policy is Approval required or Automatic publishing, not Teacher managed;
• active tracks remain before the destination;
• the configured rolling window is not already full;
• the selected data supports every effective workload and tolerance unit.

The selected data does not supply verified page positions. Use a supported line or ayah unit, or ask the authorized platform owner to complete Quran-data reconciliation. Do not estimate page ranges or repeatedly regenerate.

Read the state on every selected student. Starting point required means no effective recitation exists for the chosen progress basis; enter an approved start or deselect that student. End of Quran means a passing source ended at the selected direction’s terminal. A positive amount smaller than the request is shown as Clamped at the Quran boundary and is safe to confirm; requested and actual quantities remain visible. A zero remainder still needs an origin override, direction change, or deselection. Dataset unavailable requires the verified capability to be restored.

If JavaScript is unavailable, choose the student’s override surah and select Refresh ayah options before choosing the starting ayah. The page keeps the selected students and plan inputs while it loads that surah’s ayahs. This intermediate page cannot be confirmed; choose the ayah and recalculate the preview first.

Repeat required is resolved, not an error: the non-passing source’s original start is included as quantity item one. A stale-preview warning means an input, roster, plan conflict, source recitation, semester, dataset, or calculation version changed; review a fresh preview. Waqar never partly creates the selected batch.

The assignment or plan state may not permit it. For example, only a draft can be approved or rejected, only a postponed item can be republished, and started or completed evidence is protected from replacement. Review the assignment lifecycle.

Confirm the learner, recitation type, Quran range, active plan, published or in-progress assignment, and remaining segment. If more than one assignment could match, resolve it under Recitations needing a match; do not record a duplicate recitation.

Only generated, unstarted, future draft/published/postponed work is eligible. Manual, edited, in-progress, completed, and repeat-follow-up evidence remains untouched. Also verify effective automation and dataset capability.

Escalate with the school, learner, visible plan/assignment state, action, timestamp, and error—never staff-only notes or unrelated learner data.
