Enable and configure Learning Plans

A school administrator controls whether Learning Plans are used and supplies the defaults inherited by its learners.

Waqar school settings for Learning Plans enablement and publication behavior

  • Confirm the active school.
  • Agree on who will review generated work.
  • Choose a completion rating threshold that matches the school’s rating practice.
  • Decide whether linked parents should see published assignments.

Core sessions and free-form recitations continue when Learning Plans are off.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Find Learning Plans settings.
  3. Select Enable Learning Plans.
  4. Choose a Default publication mode:
    • Teacher managed: staff create and publish work manually; rolling generation is not available for that policy.
    • Approval required: generated assignments begin as drafts.
    • Automatic publishing: generated assignments are published immediately.
  5. Set Minimum rating counted as completion from 1 to 10. A lower positive rating or zero produces repeat handling instead of completion.
  6. Set Number of assignments in rolling window from 1 to 12. Waqar fills only the missing eligible future slots.
  7. Set Parent assignment visibility to Published assignments only or Hide assignments.
  8. Choose Save changes.
  9. Reopen the section and verify every saved value.

The defaults apply unless an allowed halqa or student override is more specific. Existing started or completed work is not rewritten merely because a default changes. New generation and eligible future replanning use the effective policy.

When disabling Learning Plans:

  • planning navigation and automation become unavailable;
  • existing Learning Plan records remain preserved;
  • sessions, attendance, recitations, and ordinary reports keep working.
  • Learning Plans are not currently available to this school: ask the platform owner to verify the feature control for this school.
  • Values are rejected: check that the rating is 1–10, the window is 1–12, and a supported publication and visibility option is selected.
  • A learner behaves differently: inspect the plan’s Effective policy and its inheritance source.
