Use the parent portal

The parent portal is a read-only view of children linked to your account by a school. It does not provide school, staff, learner-editing, or teaching controls.

Waqar parent dashboard with multiple linked children and school-specific context

  1. Sign in with the account that accepted the school’s parent invitation.
  2. If you belong to more than one school, verify the active school or use Switch school.
  3. Open Children.
  4. Select the intended child’s card.
  5. Check the child’s name, halqa, and status before reading the record.

Each school workspace displays only links established for that school. A child missing from one workspace may be linked in another.

Depending on school records and enabled visibility, the view can contain:

  • total recorded recitations;
  • total line workload;
  • average rating and repeat attempts;
  • attendance rate;
  • halqa, learner status, and registration date;
  • recent recitation ranges and ratings;
  • recent attendance dates and statuses;
  • eligible published Learning Plan assignments;
  • a Quran page-coverage link when the required planning visibility and page capability are available.

These values summarize the school’s records. They do not replace a teacher’s explanation, prove mastery by themselves, or show unrecorded work.

A parent can:

  • move between linked children and school workspaces;
  • read the available child, attendance, recitation, progress, and published assignment information;
  • review notifications sent to their own account;
  • manage their own profile, password, and active sessions.

A parent cannot edit a child’s record, record attendance or recitations, approve assignments, view other learners, or open staff and administration areas.

  1. Verify the active school and sign-in account.
  2. Confirm that the invitation was accepted, not merely opened.
  3. Do not accept a second link intended for another person.
  4. Ask the school to verify the child link and invitation recipient.

Do not create a duplicate account as a workaround. Continue with progress and attendance and visibility and privacy.
