Record mistakes and understand measurement
Mistake tags describe observed teaching issues. Calculated measurements describe the Quran range. They serve different purposes and should not be used as substitutes for a teacher’s written judgment.
Common-mistake tags
Section titled “Common-mistake tags”Select every applicable supported tag:

Tags are structured signals for review and reporting. Add a concise note when the context matters, but avoid diagnoses or unrelated personal information.
Calculated line count
Section titled “Calculated line count”After selecting a valid Quran range, Waqar calculates its workload from the approved Quran data available to the application. The teacher does not type the line count. Review it as a measurement of the selected range, not as a separate claim about quality.
If the measurement cannot be produced, the recitation can still preserve the teaching record without inventing a value. Report repeated missing measurements for data reconciliation.
Repeat outcomes and progress
Section titled “Repeat outcomes and progress”A Repeat (0) attempt keeps its selected range and tags in history, but its lines and pages do not count as completed progress. Non-zero outcomes remain subject to the school’s completion policy when Learning Plans are enabled.
Pages are not one interchangeable number
Section titled “Pages are not one interchangeable number”Waqar distinguishes:
- structural Mushaf-page coverage from an approved page-position dataset;
- normalized 15-line page-equivalent workload;
- activity, where qualifying repeated work can count each time;
- unique coverage, where the same Quran content is not counted repeatedly.
Reports label the selected measure. Never add structural pages to line equivalents or compare activity directly with unique coverage without stating the measure and filters.
