Export reports safely

Exports create files outside Waqar’s interactive access controls. Verify the context before downloading and apply school handling rules afterward.

The active school’s effective feature, limits, and rollout take precedence over this general matrix.

From Reports, choose CSV or Excel and then the resource:

  • students;
  • halqas;
  • sessions;
  • recitations.

Recitation exports can carry the selected page measure. CSV uses a spreadsheet-compatible Unicode format; XLSX produces a native workbook and respects the report’s direction where supported.

Supported PDFs include school, student, halqa, session, semester, certificate, and planning reports. Open the interactive report first, apply its dates and page calculation, then download.

The downloaded PDF is designed for reading, printing, and sharing, so its layout may differ from the interactive screen. It preserves the selected values and calculation semantics while adding a clear report identity, repeating table headers and page numbers on longer reports, and a subordinate method/source section when calculation provenance applies. Wide operational tables may use landscape pages; certificates use their own presentation. Review the actual title, filters, totals, rows, and methodology rather than expecting the PDF to reproduce the screen pixel for pixel.

Planning evidence can export assignment calculations, plan forecasts, or boundary decisions in supported formats. Preserve the filter and algorithm or dataset context when sharing the file; otherwise a decision can be misinterpreted.

  1. Confirm school, role, report type, filters, semester, and page measure.
  2. Generate the file once.
  3. Open it and verify the title, period, and columns.
  4. Store it only in an approved location.
  5. Share it with the minimum authorized recipients.
  6. Delete local copies according to school retention policy.

Do not upload exports to the public wiki, issue tracker, shared chat, or an unapproved analysis service. A missing button usually indicates role or feature availability; do not construct an export URL manually.
