Create a destination and Learning Plan

A destination defines where a learner starts and where the current Learning Plan should end. Only a school administrator can create or change it.

• Enable Learning Plans.
• Confirm the learner, halqa, and current teaching context.
• Agree on a realistic target date.
• Confirm the intended Quran direction.
• Select only workload tracks the school will actually teach and record.

1. Open Progress → Learning Plans.
2. Choose Create Learning Plan.
3. Select the learner.
4. Enter a clear Plan name.
5. Set Period start and Target completion date.
6. Choose Curriculum direction:
   • Ascending surahs and ascending ayahs follows canonical Quran order.
   • Descending surahs and ascending ayahs works through surahs in descending order, while every segment inside a surah still runs from a lower ayah to a higher ayah.
7. Set the Start position and End position.
8. Select the offered, validated Quran dataset appropriate to the planned workload.
9. Add and configure the required recitation tracks.
10. Choose an Initial status of Draft or Active.
11. Optionally save the destination as a reusable school template.
12. Submit the form, then verify the learner, range, dates, tracks, policy, and status on the plan page.

Waqar rejects a reversed, impossible, or out-of-range destination. A learner cannot receive a second current draft, active, or paused plan.

Open an active halqa and choose Create student plans. Only a school administrator can use this workflow.

• Fixed range keeps the existing behavior: every selected student receives the same entered start and end.
• Quantity from each student’s progress accepts one common total in whole ayahs or exact decimal lines/structural pages, in ascending or descending-surah direction, and calculates a separate inclusive start and end for every selected current-semester student.

Choose the progress basis explicitly; new memorization is the default. Waqar uses the latest active recitation of that exact type across the student’s semester lineage. A passing source advances to the next ayah. A non-passing source repeats from its original start and counts that repeat in the quantity. Voided, superseded, and unrelated recitations and the student’s displayed current-position fields are not calculation evidence.

Review every server-rendered row before confirming. No history, zero work after the direction-specific terminal, dataset failure, or a live-plan conflict blocks the whole operation. A positive shortage is clamped for that student to 114:6 ascending or 1:7 descending and remains resolved. You may override a student’s origin, direction, and quantity value; the unit remains common and there is no endpoint override or wraparound. Any changed input or evidence requires a new preview. Confirmation creates all independent drafts and immutable provenance together or creates nothing. Later halqa joiners receive no automatic plan.

1. Open the plan and expand Edit destination and pace.
2. Change the name, target date, endpoint, or available track pace.
3. Choose Save changes.
4. Review the replacement future assignments before publication.

Only generated, unstarted future work is eligible for automatic replacement. Completed, in-progress, manual, and teacher-edited evidence remains preserved.

A destination template reuses the direction, range, and intended duration. It does not bypass learner selection, effective policy, dataset capability, or human review.
