Understand parent visibility and privacy
Parent access is limited by school membership and a specific parent-child link. The school controls its records and which optional planning information is visible.
Visibility boundary
Section titled “Visibility boundary”A parent can see only the children linked to their account in the active school. They cannot browse:
- other learners in the same halqa or school;
- staff, member, or school settings;
- administrative reports and exports;
- draft or rejected planning work;
- staff-only notes or planning controls.
For Learning Plans, the school can show eligible published or in-progress assignments or hide them. This does not change ordinary attendance and recitation records already available through the parent portal.
Protect an invitation
Section titled “Protect an invitation”- Confirm the expected sender and recipient before opening.
- Treat the invitation link as a temporary credential.
- Open it only on a trusted device and connection.
- Accept it with your own account.
- Stop if it names an unexpected school or child.
- Do not forward, screenshot, or publish the link.
An expired, used, or incorrect link must be corrected by the school. Do not work around it with a second account.
Protect the signed-in account
Section titled “Protect the signed-in account”- Use a unique password.
- Never share a parent account between unrelated people.
- Review Active sessions in your profile and revoke unfamiliar devices.
- Sign out from shared devices.
- Avoid sharing screenshots that contain a child’s name, Quran history, attendance, or school.
- Report an unexpected child, workspace, notification, or session immediately.
See profile and session security for the exact account steps.
Report a privacy concern
Section titled “Report a privacy concern”Record only what support needs: the active school, approximate time, affected screen, and a description without another learner’s data. Contact the school for correction of its learner records. Use Waqar’s current published privacy and support channels for an account-security or platform concern.
Do not paste passwords, invitation links, one-time codes, or full child records into a general support message.
The parent portal is read-only. A missing or disputed record should be resolved by the school rather than edited or recreated from a parent account.
